In this section, I will tell you about the teaching system of grade 9, but probably this is also the same for high school level in USI, for the other grade. In this school, class are held from Monday to Friday. Each subject has two hour period. In the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday students have flag ceremony at 7:15. Students are not allowed to be late for the flag ceremony, if they are late, they will get punishment from the school. Usually, class starts at 7:50 am in the morning. Before the class started, every class will have time to meet with their adviser around 15 minutes. If it has flag ceremony at 7:15, so after the ceremony ended, the adviser will get in into the class at 7:30 and stopped it at 7:45. In short, students have 5 minutes to break, like preparing their study stuff or eat snacks and so on. Every subject has two hour period, while the other school of Philippines has one hour thirty minutes for one subject. At 11:50 students will have their break time, to eat snacks or do settle the other things. When the clock strikes at 12:50, students and teacher return to the class for complete 2 more subjects. And all classes will be end at 4 pm.
The teacher’s teaching hours can be vary from one another. The teaching hour depend on how many sections the teacher has or assigned to her/his. There are days when teachers will be free of teaching in school, or they are also teachers who have to teach in the whole day. Usually, teachers go home at 5 pm.
